Toshiba announced 3 models of REGZA Z8X series 4K ultra-high definition LCD TVs in Japan yesterday, which are 58-inch 58Z8X, 65-inch 65Z8X and 84-inch 84Z8X. The price is 500,000 yen (approximately RMB 30,000). 750,000 yen (approximately RMB 45,000) and 1.68 million yen (approximately RMB 100,000), of which the 58-inch 58Z8X is currently the cheapest 4K LCD TV in Japan.
The Toshiba REGZA Z8X series 4K LCD TV adopts Toshiba REGZA ENGINE CEVO 4K image processing engine. The image processing engine integrates Toshiba's past image processing technologies. Toshiba said that the three 4K TVs will be the first to be listed in Japan in late June. There is no specific timetable for overseas sales.
